cyberbrainIt's been a while. I've been feeling like I have nothing to say...even though there are things I would like to say. These last few months were strange, I felt—still feel—like I was on the verge of breaking down. I feel like I'm a second away from breaking and there's nothing I can do about it. (That's not entirely true but doing anything is extremely hard right now.) Anyway.
I got my first shot of the Moderna on Monday morning. I slept for a few hours after, my arm started hurting, then in the evening I got a (mild) fever. That day was also the beginning of my period, which is what has been ruining everything since. (Some news outlets say it's possible there might be a link between the vaccines and menstruation cycles but there isn't sufficient research.) I still feel off, even though my arm only hurts when I lift it.
It's strange I could get it...from the perspective of a civilized country, which this one definitely isn't. There doesn't seem to be a plan to vaccinate the population. Now we're left to register online on our own to get a shot. A lot of slots are available, and they absolutely don't matter. I booked mine over a week ago and when I went to the hospital I just queued with the rest of the people. Yes, I went in at the "correct" time but no one checked whether I'd booked.
I'm constantly disappointed in this country and the way it's governed. There were elections this year, I'm not sure if I mentioned that, I wanted to. Anyway, that was a mess and now we'll have new elections in a couple of months or so. Yes, for the same thing. Fucking hell. I want out of here.
There are lots of things I want to write and I feel like I can...but a permanent exhaustion bogs me down. Actually, I'm overspilling with ideas for worlds and settings but plotting hasn't been going well.
I'm happy I could finish my 520 Reverse Exchange fic. I did something a bit different this time and had fun writing (though I had to rush in the last couple days, oop).
