what's going on with viki?

cyberbraina lil while ago i had the bright idea of trying my hand at writing subtitles on viki (japanese to english since i'm trying to practice) but it seems something is different now, i'm guessing because of my region?
i noticed a couple of things:
one) there aren't many japanese shows at all and from what i saw there's precisely one that's currently looking for subs
two) only the viki standard pass exists as an option for me. surely they can't have removed the other options?
